Role Description

As our Global PR & Communications Specialist, you will be a key part of our global marketing and communications function. You will be responsible for planning and executing PR and communication activities that strengthen the Kährs brand in priority markets, support product launches, and communicate our sustainability initiatives.

You will work closely with international teams across marketing, product, sustainability, and sales to ensure consistent and relevant external communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global PR and communications plans aligned with the Group’s strategy.

• Proactively create and distribute press materials, newsletters, articles, and case stories for different channels and markets.

• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, industry media, and influencers, and act as a contact point for media inquiries.

• Coordinate launch campaigns and event communications in collaboration with local marketing teams.

• Develop content and messaging related to sustainability, product innovation, and corporate news.

• Manage crisis communication and media inquiries in collaboration with management and relevant stakeholders.

• Measure and report the impact of PR and communication activities and propose improvements based on insights.

• Support internal communication to ensure employees are informed and act as ambassadors for our brand.

Who You Are

You are a communicative and strategic professional with experience in PR and external communication in an international context. You enjoy working cross-functionally and are used to adapting messages for different audiences and markets.

You are structured, proactive, and comfortable driving projects from idea to execution.

Qualifications

Required

• Relevant degree in communications, PR, journalism, or a related field.

• Several years of experience in PR or communications, preferably within an international organization or agency.

• Excellent written and spoken English and Swedish. Additional languages are considered an advantage.

• Experience writing press releases and digital content.

• Strong understanding of the media and communications landscape, with experience working with journalists and interviews.

• Experience measuring and reporting communication activities (PR analysis, KPIs).

Preferred

• Experience communicating about sustainability, product launches, or B2B sectors such as construction and interior design.

• Experience with international launches and collaboration with local marketing teams.

• Knowledge of digital tools for content creation, PR tools, and CRM/marketing automation platforms.
